The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course is intended for all individuals, regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation.

This Basic Pistol shooting course will introduce you to firearms and provide the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. The course includes classroom instruction, practical application, evaluation, and a range qualification shoot. During this class, you will learn Safe Gun Handling Techniques, Pistol Knowledge, Fundamentals of Shooting, Shooting Positions, and more. What will be provided (no cost): NRA Pistol Course and Completion Certificate that meets Virginia’s Concealed Carry application requirements, Pistol and ammunition, and lunch options. Not provided: Eye and Ear protection (bring your own) Initial Deposit is non-refundable. ***NOTE: Registration for this course does not secure your seat. After you register, you will receive an invoice. Upon receipt of payment, your seat will be reserved.
